Training
What does the training look like?
Theory
The theoretical training includes 15.5 hours of lectures which cover, among other things:
- Turbine engine knowledge.
- Limitations of helicopter construction.
- Performance and flight planning.
- Weighing and balancing the helicopter.
- Emergency procedures.
- Pre-flight inspection and ground handling.
Practical training
Practical training includes 5 hours. Exercises focus on, among other things:
- Familiarisation with basic helicopter manoeuvres, advanced touchdown techniques and hover transitions.
- Procedures for take-offs and approaches to landing.
- Basic and advanced autorotations.
- Familiarisation with emergency procedures.
