PPL(H) Private Pilot License<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is the first and most important licence you will ever obtain. Together with us, you will build good piloting habits and a lasting foundation of aviation knowledge. PPL(H) Private Pilot License will allow you to perform solo non-commercial flights in helicopters and additionally entitles you to take passengers on board. The PPL(H) licence opens the door to the fascinating world of aviation. It gives you the opportunity to explore the skies and provides an unforgettable flying experience. The PPL(H) is not only a way to develop your aviation passion, but also the first step in an aviation career for future helicopter pilots. It opens the way for further training and flying experience. It is also the basis for starting training for the CPL(H) commercial pilot licence. During the course, you will make your first solo helicopter flight under the supervision of our instructor, which for most trainees is an unusual and unique experience that will be remembered forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long does a PPL(H) course last?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The theoretical training is scheduled for 9 days and includes the following subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Operational procedures.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Flight execution and planning.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Practical training<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      The minimum number of hours that the practical training includes is 45 hours, including 35 hours of flight with an instructor and 10 hours of solo flight under the supervision of an instructor. The training takes place on a Robinson R44 helicopter. This is the most commonly used helicopter, easy to operate and ideal for training purposes. Before making your final decision, we recommend that you take advantage of the following offers introductory flight.
      We will tell you all about flying, both theoretically and practically, so that you can make a more informed decision about starting your training. The practical training focuses, among other things, on the student pilot’s mastery of the following exercises:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Familiarisation with normal procedures, checklists and rudder use of controls.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Mastering the ability to perform vertical take-offs and landings.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Familiarisation with the procedures required in the event of an emergency.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Learning to maintain the helicopter in hover and autorotation landings.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Flight circles.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Instrument flight.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
